A fine Omar Ramsden silver mother of pearl box

For sale  is this Omar Ramsden silver mother of pearl box.  Dated London 1935.  Even by the high standards of Omar Ramsden this is of exceptional quality.  The box is decorated with architectural columns supporting a rim of silver thorns.  Exemplifying the quality of the box, the interior silver rim is beautifully chased and aligned silver screws hold the rim in place. The base is sold silver. The box is wood lined.  It is an exceptional  gauge of silver and very tactile “in the hand.”

Condition is excellent and original.
