A Liberty & Co silver cake slice by Bernard Cuzner
A silver cake slice by Bernard Cuzner for Liberty & Co, 1926. The cake slice handle has classic Cuzner decoration and is set with a blue stone. The slice is marked with model number 50185. A really good gauge of silver. Cuzner (1877-1956) was head of metalwork at the Birmingham School of Art from 1910 to 1942. His work can be seen in the Victoria and Albert Museum silver room 67, case 7.
