A rare Liberty & Co Cymric silver inkwell set with turquoise stones and with blue green enamel to the inkwell’s interior. Hallmarked Birmingham 1904, model 500/2. A variant of this inkwell with fire opal stones appears in Dr Stephen Martin’s book “Archibald Knox”, Second edition, pages 226 and 227.
This piece was exhibited 12th October to 13th January at the Manx Museum Douglas, Isle of Man, exhibition, “Archibald Knox – Artist, Designer and Teacher”.
