An A E Jones silver and copper mixed metal box

A rare silver and copper A E Jones mixed metal box.  Hallmarked for 1911, this appears in an early Jones’ catalogue – see image.  The lid only is hallmarked.  Under Britain’s strict assay rules the silver and copper base would not be allowed to carry a hallmark.  The copper body has excellent patina.  The silver strap work is highlighted by copper rivets.  The interior is silver plated.
