Description
Price: Sold
For sale is this lovely hand hammered, hand raised, copper and silver covered cup. Mainly made of copper, the lid is set with a silver finial in the style of HG Murphy. The lid and base are each augmented with a deep rim of silver. The workmanship is very good.
The piece is unmarked but in the style of HG Murphy or one of the Guilds. There are also similarities to the less well known work of the Leicester School of Art and their commercial off shoot Dryad. Because of the slightly deco appearance of the finial, I would date this to around 1920
