An outstanding Omar Ramsden silver wine goblet

For sale is one of the very best Omar Ramsden wine goblets I have seen or handled.  It is a wonderful gauge at over 11 oz, excellent condition with original patina and no engraving or removals.  It has a rare and superbly cast and chased design to the base of wheat sheafs.

It is fully  hallmarked for London 1938.  It  is inscribed discretely to the underside of the base (ie not visible) “H K RUTHERFORD FROM HIS WIFE, CHRISTMAS 1938”.

This goblet was acquired from a private collection, who acquired the goblet from Hancocks some twenty years ago.
