An unusual and large Omar Ramsden silver and amethyst quartz covered cup

For sale is this fantastic and unusual Omar Ramsden covered cup, the lid set with amethyst quartz ball, supported by three dragons. A very good gauge of silver and in excellent condition.

This design appears in Omar Ramsden’s workshop book “I”, page 1362, held at Goldsmiths Hall library.  The covered cup is titled “Dragon finial vase” and the price of the piece shown was £31 10 shillings. The entry is dated 27th November 1929.
