A large example of a Charles Ashbee plated muffin dish for the Guild of Handicraft. Unmarked this dish is distinguished by an unusual and womderful flower finial set with piece of abalone, possibly mother of pearl. From a private collection acquired over thirty years ago it may have been replated at that time and shows scratches and wear commensurate with its age.
